What e-invoicing changes for your invoices

UAE e-invoicing, before and after: today the invoice is handwritten, typed into billing software, emailed as a PDF and retyped by the customer; after e-invoicing it is created once, checked before it is sent, delivered into the customer's software, and the FTA gets a copy automatically.
  • Structured data that software reads

Your invoice becomes data fields (TRNs, items, VAT and totals) in a format the government has approved.

  • Sent through an approved provider

Every e-invoice travels through an accredited service provider (ASP) to your customer’s provider.

  • The FTA gets a copy, close to real time

Tax details reach the Federal Tax Authority as each invoice is sent.

  • Mistakes caught before it’s sent

A missing TRN or a wrong total is flagged before the invoice leaves your business.

How a UAE e-invoice travels

Four steps. Your software and your provider do the work.

How a UAE e-invoice travels: you create the invoice; your accredited service provider checks it and sends it over the Peppol network to your customer's provider, which delivers it to your customer; the FTA receives the tax data.

The hard part isn’t sending. It’s where your invoices start.

Raad ERP will be UAE e-invoicing ready before your go-live date.

  • Clean customer records. Every customer saved once, with the right TRN.

  • Clear item names and codes. No more “Misc material” on an invoice.

  • Invoices made at the source. In the van, on site, in the factory or the office, not on paper first.

  • E-invoicing switched on in time. Your invoices go out as e-invoices from your go-live date.

In two phases. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more appoint an accredited service provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Everyone else appoints one by 31 March 2027 and goes live on 1 July 2027.

Yes, for sales to other businesses and to the government. Businesses under AED 50 million in revenue must appoint a provider by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027.

Not yet. Sales to consumers (B2C) are outside the current rule.

You can still send a PDF copy as a courtesy. From your go-live date, the official invoice for business sales is the e-invoice sent through your provider.

An accredited service provider is a company approved by the UAE Ministry of Finance to send and receive e-invoices on the Peppol network. Every business must appoint one.

Before your go-live date. Raad ERP already issues VAT invoices with your TRN, and our team starts preparing your data now so you’re ready in time.
